About Us

Thanks for stopping by! This site was started in the summer of 2005 by a group of runners who wanted to provide an online running resource for northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. There are many small-town races throughout the summer, but it is often difficult to find out about them. We created this website to provide runners with a centralized location to learn about races all over the Northland.

General Information
Have a question or comment about the website? We would love to hear from you. Our e-mail address is info@northlandrunner.com.

We here at Northland Runner are happy to post any race with a running component in our coverage area. Besides pure running races, this includes snowshoe races, duathlons, triathlons, and all multi-component events that include running in some form. Our current coverage area is Northeastern Minnesota, Northwestern Wisconsin, the Western UP of Michigan, and Southern Ontario.

The following information is required to post a race on our calendar: race name, date, city, state, location, distance, time, contact name, and contact e-mail or phone number. In addition, we can also post the fee, age groups, awards, last year's winners, last year's attendance, course records, notes, and the race website.

We make an effort to post the results of all races we list on our website, with the exception of relays, duathlons, triathlons, and other multi-component events. If you would like to post your race's results, send them via e-mail to info@northlandrunner.com. Microsoft Excel spreadsheets work best, but any electronic format will do.

Clubs, Stores, Links
Our Info page lists all the running clubs and stores in our coverage area, and all the website links we think our audience would be interested in. If you would like to add your club or store to our list, or if you know of a running website that other runners would be interested in, please let us know.
