There are two upcoming winter running activities in Duluth for those of us who are not afraid of a little wind chill.

The first is a winter running group that meets every Wednesday evening.  The location is the big parking lot in Canal Park (meet more toward the Grandma's end).  The group will leave promptly at 5pm and run on the Lakewalk.  All abilities are welcome.  If you have any questions, you can e-mail Lisa Messerer at wildknit@clearwire.net.

Lisa is also organizing the second annual New Year's Run.  This group run will take place at Hartley Nature Center at noon on New Year's Day.  The building will be open for keeping warm before and after the run.

The NMTC Fall Trail Series is now over.  Congratulations to Matt Kramer for winning the men's title (824 points) and Leslie Semler for capturing the women's title (816 points).  A record number 276 people participated in at least one race this season, 65 more than last year and 130 more than the year before.  The final point standings are available here as well as at Austin-Jarrow.
