December 25, 2011: Run for Life Running Club

Social Running Club, 5K, Half, and Full Marathon Training
Run for Life is a 6-month running group where members will have a social network offering accountability and support. Select from two training groups depending on your personal goals.

Informational meeting on Tuesday, January 3rd at 5:30 pm to answer questions, sign up, and meet other members of the group.

Social Running Club and 5K Training
Did you know, running for 30 min, 3x a week for 6 months is all that most people need to make running part of their lives for good?
This run group is focused on making running fun and an enjoyable mode of exercise. Progressive in nature, we will meet once a week, but will assign two homework runs. The group starts from scratch and invites members to investigate training techniques such as hill repeats and interval training. A number of optional races (5K and 10K) will be advertised to the group for motivation and training within the 6 months.

Half and Full Marathon Training
Already running? Looking to improve, give your running a boost, or challenge yourself?

Join the Run for Life Marathon and Half Marathon Training Group! Keep running a part of your life with training variety and new running buddies. Includes three group runs: Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Initially the runs establish base running fitness, but evolve into training runs based to personal ability and goals. The group also includes informative seminars on various running topics and exposure to endurance weight training, Kettlebells, TRX and Plyometrics.
