October 23, 2011: Roughrider Recap

Seventy-four runners took part in the Roughrider today, the 8th race of the NMTC Fall Trail Series. Early-morning rains added much character to the race, the wet, muddy ground allowing runners to easily scale the small inclines on the course.

Eric, Andrew Hayes brought your Garmin back to the finish.  Kevin Sternal also found a pair of running shoes on Becks road.  Both items can be claimed at the next race or by calling Kris at 218-390-4784.

October 16, 2011: Hawk Ridge

Hawk Ridge, the 7th race of the NMTC Fall Trail Series, took place at, you guessed it, Hawk Ridge in Duluth.  Almost a 100 runners turned out for the 6k race.  This year the race unexpectedly ran through a Hawk Ridge birding group, providing runners the chance to bone up on their harrier and sharp-shin knowledge.
