Voyageur Update
I am happy to announce that the Half Voyageur Trail Marathon will be held as usual this year. The race will take place on July 14th at 6am at the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, MN. We are still working on the details for the Minnesota Voyageur Trail Ultra and are hopeful that it too can be held this year.
New Route
The recent floods have severely damaged the usual Voyageur course. The Fond du Lac and Jay Cooke areas were particularly hard hit, and we lost several good trails in those areas. This year's route for the Half Voyageur will start at the zoo, go as far as the powerlines, and go back to the zoo. It is not completely out-and-back; it's more of a "lollipop" style course. The other big change is the route from the zoo to Magney-Snively. The usual gravel road is washed out, and the new route will include lots of interesting single-track trails. We currently have 22-23 miles of trails mapped out for the Half Voyageur. We are working on adding in a few more miles and evaluating whether or not 2 loops of this course will work for the Voyageur Ultra (50 miles).
Volunteers
Interested in helping out at the Half Voyageur? We need several volunteers and would love to have you help. We are in need of the following volunteers:
- July 7th - Mowing day. We are in need of volunteers with weed whips and trimmers.
- July 13th - Marking the course.
- July 14th - Aid station volunteers on race day.
If you are able to help on any of these days, we would love to hear from you! Contact Kris at kkglesener@yahoo.com or 218-390-4784 if you would like to volunteer or if you have any questions about the race.

Thank you Kris!
To be able to pull this race off under the circumstances is truly amazing. See you there!
Thanks for working so hard to get this race to go. This is my favorite race. Looking forward to the new course.
